Our aesthetically pleasing retro pop art prints and alphabet are inspired by the V&A’s collection, from wrapping paper and dress fabrics to fabulous furnishing textiles. Some of the key examples of motifs featured in this range are the 1960s and 1970s designs by Nigel Quiney. He made intricately designed gift wrap a fashionable asset to own in the Swinging London era, and created the very first paper tote bags sold in the UK. Not forgetting textile manufacturer Tootal Broadhurst Lee & Co., which applied abstract Art Deco floral patterns to dress materials. This was to bring bright and cheerful designs to people’s everyday outfits in the years between the two world wars.
