The original photographs were captured by Warren De La Rue on his stereoscope back in the 1850s, making him one of the first astronomer photographers of this time period. De La Rue took impressive photographs of the moon across different months of the year, from a range of diverse geographical locations. He used a stereo viewer to bring an added element of depth to his work. This dedication to planetary exploration truly brought his photographs to life, which is impressively evident from his creations.
