Frank Sherwin was an English artist primarily known for his watercolour paintings of landscapes, travel posters and railways. Explore this brand-new collection, which features some of his most beautiful paintings to date.

The Frank Sherwin collection is our latest licensed collection, featuring beautifully unique watercolour art prints. This stunning series of six art prints were created by Frank Sherwin, a talented artist who is most well known for this watercolour landscape and railways paintings.

Frank Sherwin (1896-1986) was born in Derby and studied at the Derby School of Art and then in Chelsea, London at the Heatherleys School of Fine Art.

He specialised in watercolours, but is remembered for the railway posters which promoted travel to holiday destinations around Britain and were very much part of the railways in the days of steam. He did posters for GWR, LMS, LNER & British Rail.

Frank will always be known for his watercolour paintings of landscapes. The collection of pictures from the family archive is mostly painted in gouache on board and reflect the same interest in landscape and the British countryside. The simplicity of composition and limited colour palette give the painting a timeless feel.

This new art collection contains a series of classic watercolour art prints featuring vibrant colours and sweeping landscapes. Each art print features a timeless historic scene, illuminated with beautiful sweeping earthy colours and detailed illustrations.

The Frank Sherwin Collection with Tall Boy Prints contains an exclusive set of 6 watercolour art prints, curated from Frank's original collection. Each piece is printed on luxury Etching Cotton Rag 315 GSM fine art paper, using a 12-colour printer. We use light fast ink on our prints, which creates art that is more striking and dramatic than ever before.
