Bethany Kemp is a Nottingham based illustrator and designer whose work is inspired by organic form and pattern. Beth utilises a variety of illustration techniques and as such her work is diverse in style. She is most often found with a pencil or paintbrush in hand, but will sometimes adopt a more minimal and contemporary digital approach. After gaining her First Class Honours degree in Design at Nottingham Trent University, Beth first went on to establish her career in the graphic design and branding sector, curating impactful design for a number of interior and retail businesses, all whilst maintaining a strong focus and dedication to her passion for illustration. Beth now works as an in-house designer for The Art File and her work can be found in many stores across the UK and internationally.
Kerry Lister is a midlands-based designer & illustrator. Her work is inspired by a love for surface pattern and anything Scandinavian. Her designs are a mixture of hand drawn and digitally created illustrations giving her work a fresh, contemporary look. Kerry trained in graphic design at Lincoln University and her passion for greetings and stationery has had her working in the industry for almost 20 years, including her current position working as an in-house designer for The Art File. Her work can be seen in many UK and international stores including John Lewis & Paperchase as well as many independent card & gift shops.
Lucie Cox is an illustrator and designer based in Leicestershire. Inspired by nature, antiquities, and the arts and crafts movement, Lucie’s illustration style is traditional with a contemporary finish. With a nod to classical drawing methods, Lucie principally creates her detailed illustrations using a mechanical pencil, adding colour using watercolour and gouache and then editing digitally. Lucie trained as an Illustrator at Birmingham City University, gaining a First Class Honours degree in 2013. Since graduating, she has worked in various design roles based in the greeting card industry, creating designs which can be found in many independent and major retailers within the UK, as well as stores worldwide. Lucie is currently working as in-house Lead Designer for The Art File, where she has created award winning greeting card ranges and uniquely detailed gift packaging.
Claire Mayes is an illustrator and designer currently based in a small rural village on the outskirts of Leicestershire. Taking a wide breadth of inspiration from flowing natural forms to bold striking typography, Claire uses imaginative, unique and often abstract mark making techniques, alongside hand-drawn elements and contemporary digital illustrations in her bold, colourful work. Graduating from Staffordshire University in 2011 with a BA Honours degree in Surface Pattern Design, Claire has enjoyed working in the design industry for almost 10 years. An in-house designer for The Art File since 2016, Claire’s designs can be found in the collections of independent and high-profile retailers both nationally and internationally.
